At AVI-OIL, we believe that prioritising workplace safety, physical and mental health and overall wellbeing helps us create a secure and supportive working environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Our approach is guided by our ambition of Zero Harm and a shared responsibility for the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people. Our H&S policy sets minimum requirements for safety arrangements and working conditions, ensuring adherence to high standards and compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.

To identify and mitigate health and safety risks, we conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections and take necessary protective measures. Safety drills, hazard awareness sessions, and behaviour-based safety initiatives further help us embed a safety culture into our daily operations. Through our dedicated Executive Safety Committee (ESC), we continuously strengthen our safety culture by identifying workplace risks, implementing effective controls, and promoting safe behaviours across our operations.

We take a holistic approach to employee health, safety, and wellbeing, combining preventive healthcare, workplace safety, and employee awareness. We implement robust workplace safety controls and promote the appropriate and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We equip employees with the knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly by providing regular training on the safe handling of hazardous substances, workplace hazard awareness, ergonomic practices, and emergency preparedness. Alongside our workplace safety initiatives, we provide health insurance, preventive wellness checks, fitness initiatives, and mental health awareness sessions to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of our employees.
