Environmental Management

At AVI-OIL, we believe that Environmental management is an integral part of sustainable development. Our manufacturing operations are carried out with a strong commitment to environmental protection and responsible resource management. Our operations comply with applicable environmental requirements, with a focus on pollution prevention, resource efficiency, responsible waste management and continuous improvement in environmental performance. Our plant is certified to environment management system as per the international standard of ISO 14001.

In accordance with the environmental rules and regulations, the necessary environmental consents, approvals, and certifications applicable to our operations are obtained and maintained in accordance with prevailing regulatory requirements and are renewed periodically, as applicable. The AVI-OIL manufacturing unit is equipped with appropriate air pollution control measures, including adequately designed chimney stacks and emission-control systems. Emissions are periodically monitored to ensure compliance with applicable environmental standards. Effective effluent treatment and waste management practices are followed to ensure that wastewater and waste generated during operations are properly treated, handled, and disposed of in a responsible manner.

AVI-OIL recognizes the environmental impact of the products and materials handled across its operations. Environmental considerations relating to the raw materials, products, and processes are integrated into ongoing operations through well-defined procedures, documented instructions, and appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), supporting their responsible handling, storage, and use.

Regular tree plantation and development of green belts within the premises support biodiversity conservation by enhancing green cover, providing habitat for local flora and fauna, and contributing to the overall ecological balance of the surrounding environment.

AVI-OIL INDIA (P) LTD. engaged in design & development, formulation, and manufacture of high performance and speciality lubricants for aerospace, defence, industrial and automotive applications and esters, firmly believes that conservation and protection of the environment are integral to the company’s vision and operations. AVI-OIL recognizes that establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an effective “Environmental Management System” is crucial for achieving sustainable growth, minimizing environmental impact, and ensuring responsible use of natural resources.

AVI-OIL integrates this policy as a fundamental part of its vision and considers the context of the organization along with associated risks and opportunities to enhance its environmental performance.

Scope and Applicability :

This policy applies to the manufacturing unit, offices and any other premises where the Company’s business is conducted and to all employees, contract personnel and other people working on behalf of the Company. Our suppliers, contractors, and other business partners are expected to align with this policy.

Fostering a culture that creates environmental awareness and encourages environmentally responsible behaviour among employees.
Protection of the environment through the prevention of air, water, land, and noise pollution and other environmental impacts arising from our activities, products and services by adopting cleaner technologies, reducing water and energy consumption, and minimizing waste generation and emissions.
Fulfil the compliance obligations including legal and other requirements related to the environment.
Establish environmental objectives and targets and periodically review them to ensure continual improvement in environmental performance. Operate and maintain the plant and facilities to support and enhance the performance of the Environmental Management System.
Address climate change by identifying and managing related risks and opportunities, and by improving energy management practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Promote the conservation and responsible use of natural resources by fostering sustainable procurement practices and supporting biodiversity and ecosystems in and around operational sites.
Create awareness amongst all the stakeholders, on conserving natural resources and energy, through well-defined documentation, procedures, and training, including Emergency Preparedness and Response Procedures.
